The Solid Gold Story

Solid Gold commenced trading in 1983 and we have since grown to become one of Perth’s leading diamond retailers with a dedicated team of over 40 individuals, including a unique group of 14 master craftsmen.

Our founder, Peter Greene, is a master jeweller from London’s famed Hatton Garden. Since arriving in Perth, Peter’s dream was to develop a multi-level studio workshop in a single location, above a major retail thoroughfare in the heart of the City. He wanted to create a unique place where people could buy the world's finest diamonds and meet with specialist jewellery designers before seeing their jewellery being made by trained craftsmen. Solid Gold is the realisation of that vision.

Today our company owns and occupies three floors in the landmark Gledden Building, where we are able to offer a stunning range of loose diamonds, engagement rings, wedding rings, earrings, pendants and gold chains at competitive prices that consistently offer better value than our High Street counterparts.
