Sadly, most jewellery stores these days are simply retail outlets for imported ranges of mass produced jewellery, but at Solid Gold our roots are based in the old style apprenticeship system where people still take the time to learn their craft.

The bad news is that if you are planning to start or advance your career in jewellery, we rarely have positions available at Solid Gold. People enjoy working here and they usually stay for years, but if you send us your resume we promise to keep it on file and if anything suitable becomes available we will contact you. The good news is that this is how many of our staff came to join us.

Here are some positions that may become available in the future:

Senior Diamond Sales

Because our staff sometimes move inter-state, opportunities may arise for full and part time positions for self-motivated people with sound product knowledge, good references and excellent communication skills.

Jewellery Designer

In the past we have initiated positions for individuals with creative and practical expertise who can show their ability to develop new designs and turn our clients’ ideas into unique visuals.

Qualified Jeweller

We are always interested in hearing from people with the craft skills to produce diamond rings to the highest international standards.
